About the Artist

A native of New Hampshire, Hannah Jane Cole graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design in 1995, and received her  Masters  in Arts and Teaching from the University of New Hampshire in 2002.  She resides in Manchester, New Hampshire, and teaches at Windham High School. Areas of instruction include fine arts, painting, graphic arts, pottery and jewelry. The artist maintains a studio and gallery in Manchester.  Appointments to view the artist's works are available upon request.

Artist Statement: “I strive for a sense of atmosphere.  The light, time and space are unique to each experience.  A lifelong New England resident, I enjoy the beauty of each season and appreciate change in nature.  Cool pink and purple hues of winter snows, vibrant oranges and reds of fall, soft awakenings, muted earth tones of spring or the elusive color of a summer haze provide unlimited opportunity to create.  I seek to convey energy in the scene I describe, to invite purveyors to live in this moment."
